Eligibility:
Ph.D. Program in Engineering Departments:
Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent (60 % of marks)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology with an excellent academic record and with a CGPA of at least 9.0 out of 10 or equivalent (85% of marks) Candidates must have valid GATE score

Candidates of Science with masters Degree in appropriate branch of science with a CGPA of 6.5 out of l0 or equivalent (60 % of marks) will also be eligible. NET / GATE qualified candidates will be given preference

Ph.D. Program in Science Departments:
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant Discipline (Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics) with a minimum of 55 % of marks in the subject or equivalent

Ph.D. Program in Humanities and Social Science Departments:
Candidates must have a master’s degree with a minimum of 55 % marks or equivalent

Selection Process: Candidates will be short listed on the basis of their academic qualification and called for written test and PI

Candidates have to pay an application fees of Rs 500/- (Rs 300/- for SC / ST candidates) in the form of DD drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of Registrar, NIT Agartala, payable at SBI, NIT, Agartala branch

Duly filled in hard copy of the downloaded application forms along with the DD and all required documents must be sent to the office of the Dean, Academic, NIT Agartala, Tripura-799 055
