- B.S. In Chemical Science: 10 Seats Eligibility: 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 60% of marks in 10+2 final exam and at least pass marks in each subject.
- B.S. in Medical Biotechnology: 10 Seats
Eligibility: 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/ Biotechnology having at least pass marks in each subject with minimum 60% of marks in 10+2 final exam. 4 year B.Tech.
Programmes:
- B.Tech in Biotechnology: 17 Seats
- B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering: 34 Seats
- B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Technology: 34 Seats
- B.Tech. in Information Technology: 34 Seats
Eligibility: As per CEE Assam) norms. 2 year M.S.

- M.S. In Chemical Science: 10 Seats
- M.S. in Mathematical Science: 10 Seats

Eligibility: 4 year B.S. in Physical Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Science. 2 year M.Tech.
Programmes:
- M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Technology: Full time – 18 Seats and Part time – Max – 5 Seats. Eligibility: M.Sc. (El.Sc./ECT/Instr.) or B.Tech. /B.E. in Elect. & Commn. / Instrumentation /Electrical or equivalent.
- M.Tech. in Information Technology: Full time – 18 Seats and Part time – Max – 5 Seats.
Eligibility: BE/ B.Tech. in CSE/IT/ECE/ MCA / M.Sc.-IT/M.Sc.-CS/ M.Sc.-Math’s and Computing or equivalent.
Application Form: The application form can be downloaded from the Website at: www.gauhati.ac.in. In that case, a Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- for each application in favour of the GUIST and payable at Guwahati should be attached along with the filled-in application form.
How to Apply: The duly fill in application in the prescribed format along with all relevant documents and DD should reach the Respective Department Offices.
